A friend of mine wanted me to see this..I'm an atheist and something about that makes her think I'm into this sorta thing.

Pseudoscience disguised as a "law of attraction" as if this law was like the Newtonian law of gravitation and he dares to makes such comparison too.

Basically he says your day can go better if you were to think positive. He gives examples such as a man worrying too much about his bike, he locks it and takes precautions but he worries too much and the bike gets stolen because of his negative thoughts.

Come on people..really, having affirmative thoughts will not send out "mantric" brainwaves to mold reality around you.

The real secret this person has is how to get rich selling things such as quantum mechanics as something is not.

Oh I'm glad that other people are seeing this finally! I first saw it when my mom introduced it to me over six months ago. I really like the premise and I like how it correlates with quantum physics and the Emoto water crystals. It's basically saying that energy is what drives everything. We put an energy out there that effects the energy that exists in the universe and in turn responds to our energy. So if you want such an such...by truly feeling that and envisioning it...you are directing your energy towards that and the universe will provide. I found it very uplifting, somewhat based in common sense and a great inspiration. I truly believe that the thoughts in our head and the positivity or negativity in them are what guides the shape of our lives. I watched the DVD when I was really down and out and always felt better afterword. You should really check out the Emoto water crystals experiment. Fascinating actually considering that our bodies are what..like 80% water?!

It's all about positive thinking. It's just conveying the message in a new-agey way. The universe gives you what you want. That's true in a sense. But universe doesn't give you anything if you just stay in a couch and do nothing all day. Our actions do have effects, positive or negative. If I think positive, it may send good vibes around me.

What happens to you if someone gives you a smile? Expand that analogy to a much broader sense and you get The Secret.

It makes so much sense- the basics are positive thinking- Thankfullness and focusing...
The LAw of attraction is the main principle and you can read up on it from the OPRAH show site, it was also on ELLEN and LArry King...

It is old knowledge told in a modern way- just what the world needs right now!

Check it out and I wish for you only good!

I saw it a long time ago. Not all of it is to be taken too seriously is what I thought. Sounded a bit too far-fetched and maybeit could be something you watched to lift your spirits up a bit, perhaps. There were bits and pieces that were nice to note but much of it was stuff that you had probably realised or heard of already.

I don't understand the hype though. Its not that much of a secret you know. Its something you already know but haven't exactly taken the time to make a movie of.

I only saw what was discussed on the Oprah show about it. It makes sense but..its kind of common sense about recieving what you put out there and you have make your life what you want it to be. At least that is what I gathered from the show.

I seen a show on TV about it, it sounds interesting, I notice there is a book out about it, I think I would like to read it before I completely made up my mind.
