There is no purpose in life it self. It is you that give it a purpose ... or not.

The whole purpose of life is that there is no set purpose at all. We don't come with an instruction booklet, we dont go thru orientation immediately after we get here on this round little clod of dirt. Our choices, actions values, and beliefs are what give us purpose. If we choose not to believe in a higher power, be it a god or a door handle, what then is our purpose in life? If we choose to believe in a higer power that punishes us for every breath we take and we know we are going to hell, tell me... what is our purpose here?
I am not of the opinion that something created us simply to contaminate the earth with our refuse and lifeless bodies, nor am I of the opinion that we were created simply to go to hell to pay for our sins. But this is speaking solely of individual life.
The purpose of Life, isolated from other entities, is simply to live, to make the best of what you have and not worry what the point is. I'm sure you have better things to worry about than why we've all been stuck on this rotating dirt clod spinning perilously close to a great fireball which would disintegrate us if we got within so far of it. Go pay your bills :-p

Just to be part of an evolution and a link to the whole world.

Don't work at all to get an explanation, you will never get.

Now, after that, the purpose of life is to be aware about the cyclical clinging and craving nature of our mind and getting released from that cycle and free the self to selflessness. Then what? Then there is no question and no answer.

life doesnt have to have a purpose, it could but it depends on the person. some of us just live our lives and not think about our purpose and doing what they want while others go through life looking for a purpose and often not achieving anything.
we are on this earth and thats all there is to it, you dont need a reason or purpose, asking whats your purpose is like asking a rock what is its purpose. just do what you want to do and have fun :P

Just live. There is no one specific purpose of life. Life is a interconnection of so many things. If you try to find a purpose, the process is ongoing. Today you may want to finish your degree. After that your purpose is to find a job and make some money. After that get married. After that have children. After that plan for retirement. After that, have grandchildren...... It goes on and on. Can we stick to one purpose? That's why just live everyday. That's the only purpose...

purpose of life?...Depends on if you believe in God and the afterlife (heaven/hell) or not...otherwise what is the purpose of a life with no continuing after your death. This life is like a seemingly empty room with two doors. You walk in one door and you walk out the other door...only taking with you your good and bad deeds in this life...to be weighed on Judgment Day. This life is meant for the worship of God, for the fulfillment of marriage (which I believe is half of my religion) if possible, for the raising and taking care of a family--again--if possible, for the aid of your fellow humans, for the taking care of nature and the creatures of your environment, etc. No deed goes unnoticed so to speak...so make sure each deed is good.
My life has a purpose or else I would not have been born (I think).
We do work too hard to find an explanation for our existence...sometimes so hard that we forget to live and forget to live well (I too am guilty of this)

According to the new and old testament if you believe in it, and the after world. It is to procreate, do good deeds, live in harmony, and you will reap the benefits in the after world which is never ending.

If you don't believe in the after world, then you do the best in your life to enjoy it, whatever makes you and your family happy. Accomplishments, feelings of satisfaction. procreating, and enjoying your children and family. Going on vacations with your loved ones, hanging out with your friends, and family.

Enjoy life, you are here breathing and living so MAKE THE BEST OF IT AND LIVE IT TILL THE HILTS.

My purpose in life was to raise my children to be good upstanding people. I am proud, and feel a great satisfaction the way they all turned out. All 7 of my children (males) are happily married. Have good values, and I have many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. What can be more satisfying than seeing the fruits of your labor.

To me it was my children, every one has their own purpose in life, and explanation for their existence.

Have a happy, and enjoyable existence. We all deserve it. As life is very hard, and has many trials, and tribulations. It is up to you to make your existence purposeful.

Have a happy one.
