On the pokemon game I used the item finder and it says something is burried, now how do I get it?

I've tried using dig, I've tried clicking everythingl. I can't figure it out.. What is up?

The item finder will tell you when an Item is hidden nearby and, depending on your version, if you're close to it, often with a rapid bleeping, 4 is the fastest. It can't pinpoint the item exactly though. Use it to gather your bearings. Search the suspect area by walking around and pressing A on each squeare until you find it.
