Most of the protesting came from the youth of the country!
People aren't generally moved to revolution until they are called to personally!
If under any provocation we re-establish a draft will we see more public outrage towards this administration's foreign policies???

General complacency!!

Why aren't people marching in the streets to protest the number of our teenagers slaughtered on the highway everyday?

Why aren't people protesting the number of folks gunned down on the streets of our major cities every day?

Both of those numbers exceed the loss of life in Iraq by a multiple of ten++++............

Protesting the war is more sexy than worrying about the loss of life right here at home I suppose.

Add to that the fact many Americans support the overall objective of the current foreign policy, which is basically to keep the fight out of OUR homes!!

Late edit....The draft will not be back...PERIOD!!

It is because we have become complacent and apathetic toward our world. The average person doesn't want to trouble their little head with the idea that the country needs to be changed. They want to promote this pathetic souless idea that is along the lines of "if i am alive and happy...WHY SHOULD I CARE?" The fools have bought into it all unfortunately...they have sucked up the subtle notions and molded their lives into exactly what the elite want....a pathetic, weak and godless human existence. In time they will realize exactly what they have done...and they will most definitely regret it.

But the future is not bleak...the events have yet to unfold that will lead humanity toward its ultimate greatness. We will stand up...we will win and we will change this world for the better. We will shake the foundations of every corrupt institution and every corrupt souless thief that sits in a position of power. We will bring justice that is swift and brutal...and not one man shall be forgiven of his acts of treachery and treason.

Do you want something to go on? A starting line to lead you toward victory against evil?

You are the starting line...you are the something and the someone and the every essence of our world. You are the chosen one...you are the prophet and the great leader. You are what you always envisioned yourself to be. And YOU CAN BRING CHANGE TO THIS WORLD!

I think it is because we aren't convinced our government isn't working yet. An attack on Iran would probably push us over the edge.

The country certainly is divided enough at this point, but with congress counterbalancing Bush now, I think people are willing to wait and see a little longer before going out and marching.

I guess people are not out protesting because this is a different war.

The Vietnam war was no threat to Israel
Exxon and Chevron didn't run CNN or Fox News yet
People were not interested in waving the US flag so they would get a job working for Cheney

A draft would be political suicide. Besides the US army has 2.3 million troops-more then enough for these small conflicts.

Cattle's will move where the cattle farmers wanted them to move

Cattle's = Americans
Cattle Farmers = Neocons and Russians in Israel
