How can I fly a card?

Question

You know, the flying spinning card trick that the card will spin around you and get back in your hand. It is sooooooooooo cool!!!
Can anybody kind enough to tell me how to do it?

It is just practice. I do not know of a way to tell you how to do it. It is like a Frisbee, the right angle and you can make it return to yourself. There are different ways to pitch a card. Some casinos prefer from the front and some prefer from the back. If you live near a casino that does front pitch go and watch the dealers technique. The front pitch is the most likely to be able to return to you since the back pitch is for a straight shot. After you learn how, through live play ot recordings, it is just getting the angle down. Not much help but it is one way.

The Trick


You need a card

string ( Hard to see)

magician wax ( I am sure just tape will work too)



Tape the string to the card in the middle and attach the other part to your ear (Make sure the string is just long enough to spin around to your other hand.) For short floats minor un noticeable head movements and wrapping the string around your fingers may be needed.

Most of the trick is spinning the card and catching it but most of all practice.

It is easier to show then to type it sorry
