Any actual legitimite details and confirmed details as to the pole shift of 2012?

Are there actually going to be crazy weather, like 400-700 miles per hour winds? Tsunamis, etc.

Please let me know as i'm freaking out like an un-educated the typical american would.

thank you

Also, as the pole shifts happens, the sun alligns or something and causes solar flars and such, anything on this?

2012 is very often used as an apocalyptic year.
So whatever potentially catastrophic event is likely to be associated with 2012.

Pole shift result in climate change (whatever how suddenly this would happen).
If a sudden pole shift happens it surely wouldn't be very nice but no scientific evidence it could happen, why it would happen or when.

Probability that this is going to happen in 2012 are just as good as the probability it's going to happen in the next 10 minutes but most likely close or equal to 0.

The chances you get into a fatal car accident are MUCH higher.

Here is some scientific study about pole shift (notice that it didn't happen suddenly but over a period of 20 million years... so I hope you are not smoking cigarettes).

"Recent work by scientists and geologists Adam Maloof of Princeton University and Galen Halverson of Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France, indicates that Earth indeed rebalanced itself around 800 million years ago during the Precambrian time period.[10] They tested this idea by studying magnetic minerals in sedimentary rocks in a Norwegian archipelago. Using these minerals, Maloof and Halverson found that the north pole shifted more than 50 degrees — about the current distance between Alaska and the equator — in less than 20 million years. This reasoning is supported by a record of changes in sea level and ocean chemistry in the Norwegian sediments that could be explained by true polar wander, the team reports in the September–October 2006 issue of the Geological Society of America Bulletin.[11]"

What's going on in 2012 is not going to cause a pole shift. Pole shifts happen when the weight of the ice at one or the other of the polar ice caps gets too heavy. Right now the ice caps are MELTING.
There was supposed to be a pole shift on 05-05-2000 when all the planets were in a line behind the sun. Didn't happen. The book might be still around....It's called something like Ice Disaster 05-05-2000 and it's got good stuff in it. There's another book called simply "pole shift" that's pretty good too if you just want general info on pole shifts.

Science has proven this has happened in the past, but there is no evidence that it is going to happen any time in the near future.
Kick back and enjoy yourself. no sense worrying about somthing you have no control over.

Just a wild story with no physics to back it up.
