It has to be Dirk, he has rounded out his game, involving the whole team, instead of just being a 30-40 point shooter, he has spread out his talents to make the whole team do better, much like Shaqu did with Miami.
Steve Nash like Jason Kidd are the greatest, but it is Dirk's turn.
Watched King James play last night and he is awsome but cannot carry the whole team, he needs help.

It's gotta be Dirk....
HIS mavs are not only tops in the league, they're killing teams and he's the main man on the squad...without him i dont see howard or others picking up the slack needed for them to have the season they're having
D-Wade can't be considered because of his injurys for one..also because its when shaq is out that the heat lose....Wade is out now and they're in better shape than when the big fella was sidelined
The only thing really hurting Nash is really Dirk...Being overshadowed by a 7 foot German isn't that hard especially when he's putting up numbers and performances like Nowitzki...true without Nash the suns lose, but they aren't #1 in the west
Arenas could have been a frontrunner had he kept up his pace that he had set earlier in the season...a stretch of 40 pt games (and one handed 3s) will help any players cause but his slip in performance as of late will cost him....more time playing less time blogging
King James is having a rough time finishing games this year...that and a 68% free throw stat will not get in done if the kid wants MVP honors
Where is Kobe on this list....... ..... .....

Dirk nowitzki leads the MVP race.
Nash is second
Dwyane Wade is not in the MVP race anymore becuse he is injured
Gilbert Arenas is not an MVP candidate becuase he is not consistent
LEbron James is 7 in the MVP race
Kobe Bryant is in 4

Kobe Bryant is carrying his team. Take Nash off the Suns they are in the playoffs. Take Wade off his team they are ligitimate playoff contenders. Take Dirk of his team they make the playoffs easily. Gilbert is not even in the poll so far and nore is Lebron.

Ok all those guys are good and I think Dirk deserves the title but if you really want to give the MVP to the best player it should go to Jason Kidd because he's averaging about 15.0 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 9.0 APG, 1.8 SPG and he's not even in the top 20's in turnovers with 2.7 TPG (he's right at number 25) I mean really this guy can score, create, defend, and protect the ball who else in the league is doing that no one else and that's why i think Jason Kidd deserves the MVP because he's doing something no one else is doing so what if his team is not doing well this award goes to the best PLAYER NOT A PLAYER WHO TEAM IS DOING GOOD AND THEY'RE PLAYING THE BEST ON THE TEAM

Not gonna be wade for sure or Gilb or LB....
It comes down to dirk and nash and right now its a 50/50... Mavs winning like crazy while nash keeps putting up better numbers than years before and you saw what suns were without him

Dirk Nowitzki. take out dirk and the mavs will surely miss the playoffs. while the suns without nash, they still have amare & the matrix.

look what happen when nash is not playing...the suns get beaten.. and look what happen when nowitzki was out....crosshere step up and dallas won.
nash definitely is more valuable than nowitzki
why i only mention both two ? coz phoenix and dallas are the best team in the nba at the moment

james/agent 0-james struggle at the 1st half of the season and improving right now.agent 0 shows some beautiful moves but struggles after the all star break
wade he is the 3rd but his injury affect him so bad
