What famous artists formed the group Stillwater for the movie Almost Famous? I`m pretty sure it was 3 songs or so & I heard the names once and totally forgot. I KNOW it`s not Jason Lee and the rest of the cast singing. SO please don`t say it`s them (kids). Thanks alot.

I cant figure out why this is impossible to find. I have seen the movie dozens of times, and I just searched for almost half an hour for who actually played in that band. And I just cant find it. However I did find these pieces of information:
Jason Lee did not sing in the band, although he played the singer on screen.
Peter Frampton coached the members of the band On Screen to look and act like real rock stars, and served as a musical consultant.
Nancy Wilson (Heart) wrote most of the lyrics, and was a musical consultant on the film as well.
Sadly, thats all I could find. That really is a mystery. HAHAHA Tiny Dancer.

all i can find is this....
the songs were written by cameron crowe and his wife nancy wilson (of heart). mike mccready (of pearl jam) provided the guitar tracks.
