This will sound silly but I know people at laundrymats use this method for heavily soiled and smelling clothes...wash it in pine-sol.
Good luck!

I've had good luck with Arm & Hammer laundry detergent to get the smell out of my clothes. For me it's just some serious body odor from sweating though.
For urine, you can also try adding baking soda to the wash cycle; Using a pet stain&odor remover; or get a urine stain remover from a janitor supply company. The pet stain removers and urine stain removers work using enzymes to break down the urine.

Wash in hot water, use clorox 2 and you can get scented. Or you can put a cup of white vinegar in the wash cycle and then use the fabric dispenser in the washer to put some good smell in them---wash daily, don't let them sit and dry out--that includes bedding, towels, absorbent bed pads and gowns.
Caregiver for years. Hope this helps.

After there clothes have been washed. add 1 cup of white vinegar to the rinse water, that will do it, if you smell the vinegar don't worry when they get dried the odor will be gone and so will the vinegar smell.

During the rinse cycle drop in a cup of vinegar. Wash as normal (reg detergent etc.) Beware of clothes that are not colorfast though!

When you do washing put a little Dettol in machine. Don't put too big a load on. Use a little fabric softener. Put on a rinse cycle first. These are some of the things that I do. [similar work].
