Some people say 100 times and some people say a 1000 times. I have never reached this limit because I find that burning CD-R's are cheaper than using CD-RW's. Plus, most CD players don't read CD-RW's.

actually, some regular CD players cannot play CD-RWs..
you can only burn up to more or less 20 songs in a regular audio-CD format since the burning process is not measured by bytes but by the number of minutes the songs are played.

A cd rw disk, flash chips rechargable batteries all have their life restrictions. If you look at an electric lamp it may look like that it will run forever. But if you keep 1000 electric bulbs on almost all of them would fail around their specified life time. That is after so many hours of operation.

u can rewrite it as much as u can for as many times you wish to. see that the cd is of good quality and is taken care of not having scratches at all.
and yah you can burn an audio cd too

normally it depends upon the CD-RW brand & your method of use.you can wirte it till your cd lasts longer without scratches.it can be done upto 20 times
