Maybe the stress of being in the public eye drives people deep into cycles of reclusion and paranoia that branch into eccentricity and weird behavior.it’s the fact that they are considered to be role models for doing nothing more than putting on some makeup, singing a song, or just plain portraying a character on a worldwide stage. So, people, don’t look toward celebrities for role models for living your life. Look to them as models for careers, look to your favorite characters as inspiration. But, don’t confuse the actor with the role, it’s not fair to people that have too much stress in their lives. The stress isn’t an excuse for inappropriate behavior, including things like spousal or sexual abuse. But, there is no reason that role models must be restricted to celebrity status.

Because even though they are celebrities, they still are like, normal everyday people. They have flaws just the same as we do.

If your next door neighbor "John" is a bad role model for doing drugs, then why would a celebrity who does the same be a good role model?

California is the land of the Fruits and the Nuts, and anything goes in California because there are no morals there.

When the rest of the Nation has California broadcasting in the living rooms, and bedrooms etc. just about every day of the week for over 80 years, then it is only a matter of time before a large majority of the country come to believe that California behavior as portrayed by them is the Norm.

I would say that this decline started out gradual, and has progressively declined into what it is today.

i think someone stars are bad role models because they are sometimes party and duing drugs and it is not okay to drink and drive and do drugs and someone of them want to be thin they do harm to their bodies. i dont think anyone should be a role model i think people need to find their selfs and not copy what other people do. i think if their is a good role model out their for young woman would be tyra banks and opera because they have done so much in their life to get where they are today they have made mistakes in their life and they have not hide that. they have learn from their mistakes. and like tyra says so what if people talk about me

UNLESS YOU ASPIRE TO BE AN ACTOR OR PRO ATHLETE OR WHATEVER YOU MEAN BY CELEBRITY, WHY WOULD YOU CONSIDER THEM A "ROLE MODEL"? It's soooo common these days to criticize someone's behavior by denouncing them as a "bad role model". Celebrities aren't role models at all to the millions who aspire to be teachers, pilots, scientists, firemen, doctors, or a host of other occupations.

It certainly seems there are plenty of role models for people who like to be ignorant about what "role model" means.

They are unrealistic and set bad examples. They are just a bunch of spoiled, overpaid, and overexposed brats, who complain and cry when things don't go their way. Celebs are for entertainment purposes. Most of them, don't have a major impact on our lives or society in general, yeah they give to charities but that is basically it. A true role model try to make society better instead of worrying about how much money or awards they get for a movie role or a song.

For the money and also it is hard to tell if it is a bad role because the director is directing it and they don't see how it comes together until the end.

Because we only see their public personas.
They get tabloid attention when they get married, break-up, do drugs, get arrested, too thin, too fat.

Celebrities don't live the same lifestyles we average people do.
Therefore it's not realistic that they are "role models".

My role models are my Mom and Dad, and my family.
I may idolize a celeb, but they are not my role model.
I don't know them personally.
I don't talk to them, they don't talk to me, My family and friends talks to me. That's the real world day to day role model.

A role Model is someone you can talk to,
someone real and accessable.
Someone you can look up to for their knowledge, courage and strength.

Celebrities are paid for their apperances, and their roles they play.
it's not actually or factually who they are.

i extremely do not imagine celebrities will be position fashions. you may't choose someone, and tell no matter if or not they're solid or undesirable, you don't understand them in my opinion. this is as a lot as dad and mom to set a fantastic celebration for toddlers. what's incorrect with pam anderson, brittany spears, and marilyn manson? chris brown i visit understand... yet no longer something else.

Because they do stuff to get attention. They also think that they are special and can get away with more than the normal person.

If I were a cop, I would have no more mercy for a celebrity than a normal citizen.
