Honestly, he would make a good backup at USC..

Yes, he would have made a good backup, but would you rather be a backup or a starter? At USC Clausen is, at best a 3 year and probably 2 year starter. At ND he will probably be handed the reins right from the start. 4 years under Charlie Weis, expert tutelage and all the outsized hype attendant to all ND signal callers? Sounds good to me. But never fear Trojan fan. Had you seen any of Aaron Corp in the high school playoffs last year you'd know that he has that intangible "it" thing, that winner's "thing". I wouldn't be a bit suprised if he's the better of the two when all is said and done.

Haha, I like the underhanded compliment there. But unfortuantely despite having a terrible bowl record over the past decade and a program that saw its best days before I was born, Notre Dame continues to get top recruits like Clausen. And who can blame them when it consistently puts people into the NFL on the strength of the school's tradition and reputation alone. Had Brady Quinn gone anywhere else he wouldn't be a first rounder in the NFL draft but he has a shot at the #1 because he went to Notre Dame.

Im a huge Vols fan and was releived to see this Clausen go to Notre Dame. Casey came to UT as the 3 rated QB in the nation and worked out to be a decent qb but was highly overrrated. I dont think my heart could have taken the strain of another Clausen in Knoxville..let him go somewhere where when he loses I can enjoy it lol

No. He'll get a chance to start early and Fat Weiss is a good qb coach.

I think Clausen will be a good college qb but not a great one. No way he's over 6' tall. Plus he's so cocky that he'll be a huge target for ND's opponents.

haha he would have been 3rd string!!!!
hes completely OVER RATED!!!!! ive watched him play...he played mostly against DIV 3 (small schools with very little talent) and when he did play against DIV 1 talent, he struggled. in the CA ST DIV 3 championship game he threw more pics than TDs an his team BARELY won in the 4th quater.

any player who has been getting professional coaching (literally he has been training with a pro qb coach who used to be a qb coach in the nfl) since 5th grade should be 10x better...if he hadnt been in the right family, he'd be a nobody.
