Here are the guidelines of the American Heart Association.
The normal range for adults is: less than 120 over less than 80.
Prehypertension in adults is 120–139 over 80–89.
Hope that helps.

About 110 to 130 mm Systolic pressure and 70-90 mm diastolic pressure. A typical BP reading will be 120/80 mm, 120 being the Systolic and 80 being the diastolic pressure. Check out www.webmd.com for more information.

If you don't know your BP, get it checked and if you need advice about hypertension or hypotension, ask.

120 over 80. But you must sit still a few minutes before you measure it. Also it is better if you repeat it three times in one sitting and take the third reading.
