I bought a second hand laptop. Is there anyway to find out if a WiFi card has been installed?

Depends on the OS.

Windows you can look in the Network Connections in the Control Panel or in the Device Manager in the System Panel (in Control Panel)

EDIT*
"Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device manager>Network Adapaters.....If you can see "wireless Lan" on the list then that is it. "

If it's not there be sure and check the device manager under network. If the device is disabled in the hardware it will not show up in the network Panel.

R click on my comp go to properties, hardware, device mgr this list all the hardware on lour ntbk
