If you're unable to contact the owner or webmaster of that site, you might try the Internet Archive. Enter the web address in the space provided, then look for the oldest entry in the results, you'll know the site is at least that old.
Also, there might be something on DNSstuff that might help you. Free registration is required.
Sorry, wish I could help out more!

the best and easiest way to find out is go to siteadvisor.com. for example click here to see stats for yahoo.com:
http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/yahoo.com
At the top is the year established, what country, and if the site has a lot of users or not, and it tells you if the site is free from harm like spyware, adware, viruses, etc. very helpful!!
to find your site, go to the top of the page where it has a search bar that says "look up a site report". type in the url and you'll see your stats!

Yes dear, very simple. In your browser just type:
http://whois.sc/sitename.com
Replace sitenamw.com with the actual site name. It will display all the official information about that site. Check "Created Date" for the creation date of that website.

use the wayback machine to lookup the site by domain name. If it was online, this site captured it.
