Don't worry, I have had lots pulled. No pain, just pressure. I hate the dentist too. I get neveous every time I go. I have borrowed half a valium from my mother (suffers from aniety attacks), and taked it half an hour before I go. That helps. Just have someone else drive you:)

Yes, two anti-anxiety pills - prescribed prior and Nitrous Oxide while the work is done works wonders, or if possible totally knocked out for major work like wisdom teeth. Good dentists are virtually painless ask for recommendations from friends who also have a slight dentist phobia, which is most of us! They will give you pain pills, take as directed BEFORE it starts to bother you will be fine, the most you feel especially with the Nitrous Oxide is MAYBE a little pressure but you really don't care!

i've had 6 pulled. The only thing that hurts is the needle. The actually tooth pulling just feels like pressure. In some cases i didnt even realize it was already pulled out.

Like the others say the needle hurts the most. Taking the tooth out is a piece of cake. Don't worry.

it doesnt hurt. you may feel a little tugging and pulling, but you dont feel it coming out. Dont worry about it, you can either be put to sleep, or you will have the area around the tooth and gum completely numb.

I had a tooth pulled and it hurt big time, They had to cut my gum to remove it.
Days after they pulled it i got the worse most painful infection. Sorry to scare you, i have the same problem but had no choice but to loose it.

its not pleasant...it was very uncomfortable. I had several teeth pulled including my wisdom teeth (also they found tumors underneath one of the wisdom teeth that had to be removed so that took more time and was more uncomfortable)
I also had braces which hurt when they're tightened and jaw surgery where they remove part of my lower jaw to make it smaller.
Between the jaw surgery and going to get a few teeth pulled....I'd rather get the teeth pulled....
You'll make it! It isn't that tramatizing.
