yes it was pipkins 1973-1981there is a fan site of the programme
and Sue Nicholls who plays audrey in corrie was Mrs Muddle.
George Woodbridge, who played the lead role of Inigo Pipkin (hence the show's original name) died during the making of the second series. For the third series the bold decision was made to kill off the character, and rename the show Pipkins. His death is announced in the first episode of the third series
