Since taking over Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe has totally destroyed his country's economy. The people of Zimbabwe are starving. Inflation is now running at 1600%. On TV news last night [ITV News 2230GMT] we were introduced to two would-be leaders of a potential revolt against Mugabe. This had to be done under cover because Mugabe has forbidden any outside press coverage of what's going on in Zimbabwe.

What's going on in Zimbabwe right now is the beginnings of what could become a very bloody civil war. Mugabe has even disarmed his own Presidential Guard. There is widespread discontent amongst his own former supporters both in the Army and Civilian sectors.

Zimbabwe is about to explode any day soon.

Keep watching the screens.

Zimbabwe used to be the bread basket of Africa when the farms and agriculture was controlled by people who new what they were doing. Now the country is run by a basket case and until Mugabe and his like realise that they cannot run their country and hand control back to the people that can things will not improve. Most African counties have actually gone backwards since independence a sad fact but a fact none the less.

Do you mean aside from the government stealing all the farms from the white owners, and giving them over to lazy friends of the President who don't know how to farm, and even fewer are even attempting?

Geesh. That guys a freak. Even our government has numerous warnings now about visiting or doing business with that country.

He could have taxed those owners to high heaven, but left them to farm. Instead, he's destroyed the agricultural base, and the country is broke and starving.

It is a problem with all of Africa. Once it was under colonial rule. Those nations gave them a fish, and bread, but no Fishing pole, and wheat or ther skills to use them by keeping them as oppressed as possible.

So when they left, those nations declined. Sad.
