Hey check this out you can not reduce the mileage unless you change out the speed-o-meter and if you do this you must get the current mileage and they will make the difference on a state stamped sticker mounted on the drivers door jamb of the drivers door stating that the speed-o-meter has been replaced and the mileage that it is supposed to be at. And tell your father not to be scared of mileage on a car I go with my friends and family members all the time to buy cars and mileage really isn't that bad of a thing especially if it's highway mileage that's even better because the motor has fully surpassed it's break-in period city mileage on a car is not that good how ever if you were to purchase on you would have to meticulously ge over it if you have any further questions e-mail me and I'll respond within a reasonable amount of time marcusantcoleman@yahoo.com

The only mileage you can reduce is the GAS mileage.
You don't want to do that unless you build a bunch of power into it.
The actual odometer mileage is a hint of how much the car has been used. Some things wear out by age, some things wear out from use. 100,000 miles these days doesn't mean a whole lot.
You can get quite a lot of car for $4000 so don't complain. A first car is the one that usually will get wrecked either by you or your friends, or gets trashed out by you or your friends...

More mileage means the car is older, and like nearly everything that gets older, it becomes more unreliable. Technically, you can't reverse how far a car's gone, but if you maintain the car in good condition, the mileage will make little difference.

you can't reduce mileage on the car, if you replace pretty much everything it will run longer, and better like it has less mileage, but that would mean putting a new motor in it and everything. eventually it will just wear out from having so many miles on it.

you cant lower it. cars with a lot of miles are just more worn out, and more likely to break. better to get and old school not so hot car with less miles so you can afford gas instead of having to alwasy get something fixed on it. Toyotas are great at having high mileage and still going strong.

It's illegal to roll back the miles. Also, its hard to do unless you really know cars. Not to mention, with modern cars, you need to reprogram the computer.
The trick in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" does not work. You cannot drive the car in reverse to make the miles come off.

there is no way to take mileage back, although miles arent the worst thing. As long as regular maintanence is done most vehicles last longer. The more stop and go driving is done the more the wear is on a vehicle.

Rent the movie "Ferris Bueller's day off" lol
Trying to reset the miles doesnt work but it doesnt matter because they just tell you that the car has been used a lot so its more likely to have problems.

There is an old saying:
'Quality is as quality does.'
Here is another if you do a bad thing:
'If you sup with the devil use a long spoon.'
