The foreclosed person needs to be gone by the time the papers change hands.
The person now paying for the home has NO obligation to let the previous owner stay and normally will have the sheriff evict if they are still there.
How many times have you paid for housing while some stranger continues to live there ?

You'd need an attorney to answer that. However, why were you not looking for someplace else to live when you knew that you were being foreclosed upon? I have been there myself. It's a pipe dream to think that you can stay longer when you knew it was coming. You might plead hardship for more time.
