Well, personally, I prefer to be the romantic ones--giving gifts and flowers and all that. But mostly I think it falls on men because they are /expected/ I think to give girls flowers 'just because' and candy and stuffed animals on Valentine's Day. I actually feel bad for them because, at least around my friends, the guys only really get a few kisses and a 'thank you so much!' in return. I don't know if they would like to receive gifts, candle-lit dinners, or just romantic words as well though.

I think girls are the best. Boys trying to 'woo' me are never as creative or as romantic as girls. But, I could be partial.
