I saved 3 children from their abusive father while I was on cart duty he slammed his daughter in the seat and began punching her and her siblings in the chest so I ran up and said "that make you feel like a big man?" he replied "stay out of my business, you piece of garbage" so I grabbed a tire iron from the back of his truck and hit him in the head with then begun stomping him on the ground and he was unconscious and I was arrested and fired did I do it for the good?

You bet your *** you did the right thing. You are my hero!
This country has become a nation of wimps. Here's a little story from our history that you might enjoy. President Andrew Jackson was riding his horse in DC when someone took a shot at him. Jackson got off his horse and beat the man to a pulp. He remained President and the incident only increased his stature in the eyes of all Americans. Good luck! This incident might cause you difficulty, but when it gets tough, just know that it isn't you. It's
the times that we live in.

I suspect you should have held him at bay with the tire iron, while yelling for people to get the police.
You could have had him arrested for child abuse .
Most of us would like to see mean adults stomped into the ground , but , alas, the law does not allow it.

Oh, how hindsight can be 20/20. Yes, you did the right thing by saving the kids, and the whole case will be under review. You have probably helped those kids out more than anyone ever has.

THERE ARE BETTER WAYS TO HANDLE THAT SITUATION.....

YOU WERE TRYING TO DETER THE MAN FROM BEING VIOLENT, WHILE BEING VIOLENT...KIND OF HYPOCRITICAL...DON'T YOU THINK?...

YOU SHOULD HAVE CALLED FOR ASSISTANCE AND THEN CALLED POLICE...
