I am female, and I once had a dream that I was a male and very much in love with a girl. I dreamed that I embraced her and we made love.
I have experienced some past-life regressions in hypnosis (after that dream and NOT because of that dream) and found memories of my previous existence as a male before.
The significance of my sexual/sensual dream as being a male was that I got a perspective of what a man may feel, and I now have a more empathic sense for men.
I am a straight female and don't have any desires to change genders, but I am grateful for the perspective from being in a male body, even in a dream. It helped me realize that men have feelings and sensations, and theirs aren't all that different from women's.
