Currently in australia we are working on a 5 point grading system. This mandated by the government and as a teacher in a school with 30 teacher and nearly 1000 total within the system we hate it as it does not show the true academic standard of the children. Offen they get a pass (C) when they are not quite there and many can not get better the a C because to do that they would have to show an academic standard of 18 months higher than what is accepted.
