It has been said that any kind of word game and/or reading in general is good for the brain. It reduces your chances of getting Alzheimer.

I read just within the past month. That you need to do different kinds of crossword puzzles, otherwise it's just repeating what you already know. They suggested doing all sorts of puzzles not just crossword and they highly recommended Sudoku

Anything that keeps your brain active, word puzzles, math puzzles, reading, etc. is good for the brain. Studies show that it may prevent Alzheimer's disease. Your brain needs exercise just like your body. Sitting around watching TV is bad for your body and your brain.

Actually, nothing can prevent Alzheimers, there are things you can do to delay it. I.E. crosswords, puzzles, reading, anything that keeps your mind active. But essentially nothing will stop it. Only things that will slow the process.

of course it does.. anything to do with reading writing drawing expands ur brain i think i need to do more of that expand my brain a lot
