Looks good to me. Verizon has the best service!

So you might spend a little more than some other carriers, but you just cant go wrong if you want the best coverage and service.

I currently work for Verizon Wireless. They are a great company who will tell you to change your plans to prevent overages. All cellular companies charge the Fed, Regulatory, Administrative charges. These are charges imposed on us by the government.
Besides that everything looks normal.
Look at the dates you were charged for. You were charged for the days of usage. Take the $10 charge for text package and divide it by the number of days in the billing cycle. Now multiply that # by the number of days you had use of the service. The full $10 charge is for the month in advance. Cellular service always charges a month in advance just like your cable.
Then do the same with your monthly calling plan access. There are prorated charges on this bill due to the start date of the calling plan to the last day of the billing cycle and then the month in advance. This looks like a typical first bill. The first bill is always higher because it is charging for more than a month of service plus activation fees.
Better yet why don't you call using *611 from your phone. It's a free call and customer service is open 24 hours.
I hope this helps!

Looks ok to me. The $44.40 under Verizon Wireless' Surcharges and Other Charges & Credits includes the activation fee of $35. The activation is a one time charge, so it will not be on any of your future bills.

I think you just started signing up w/ Verizon. It is always like that when you sign up because you have to pay for that activation charge. I think its ridiculous but yea, that fee really send the payment high at the end of the month...
- Activation fee is a killer.... but next month should be okay if you don't go over your mins...

We have Verizon also...and Verizon will rape you every which way....but don't know of another carrier that is much better...and the only reason we keep Veriz. is that they have more towers in our area...and we seldom have problems in that respect....You have an activation fee on there also...and that doesn't help...but if you can stay within your "limits"..next one shouldn't be quite as bad...Good Luck
