There is a theory that we are psychologically programmed by evolution to recognize certain insect shapes as being dangerous. Our ancestors were frequently killed by scorpions, spiders, etc. So we have this archetype imprint of a "bad" insect shape that we should avoid. So now, even though that we know better, our lower brain generates an avoidance reaction to anything that resembles a spider, etc. It's sort of like a leftover survival technique in our minds. Thats why when we see something spiderlike, we get a "thats bad" feeling.
