It doesn't matter niether of these teams will do anything in the playoffs. They will just take up space.

Denver has too many talented players to self destruct now, unless a lot more get hurt. They're no worse now than last season when they won the division. The clips have no point guards left without Cassell or Livingston. They're out. they've been poor all year anyway. Give the last slot to the Hornets. They've somehow managed to stay in the hunt without their top players. They deserve credit for that. At the beginning of the season they were tearing it up. If Peja ever comes back they could make some noise in the playoffs. Not championship noise, but second round maybe.
I didn't even think about matchups....no way the hornets get past the mavs. i only meant to infer that they have talent to beat lower ranked teams...i forgot that we were talking about the lowest ranked seed. oops.

Definetly Denver Nuggets for the 7th seed and 8th seed i would have to give it to New Orleans...
...people think im crazy...but they are one of the most underated teams with lots of scoring options
Clippers wont make it because no back up pt guard for the old/ugly Sam Cassell
T'wolves wont make it because they have no bench and an all-star "KG" who is so tired of trying during the season to just keep his team in the hunt... the energy will be all out comming post-season... 82 games is a total load at that level....

I like the Clippers as the 7th seed and the Hornets to get past the Nuggets to take the 8th seed.

It will be the Denver in the 7th spot and Hornets in the 8th but tdubya86 the thought that Hornets could ever get past Dallas into the 2nd round is disturbing on so many levels

My guess is that it would the Nuggets (With all that firepower, how can you not get into the playoffs) and the Hornets (They lost their core group due to injuries and still kept themselves within striking distance of a playoff spot add that to the return to form of Chris Paul).
For those who wont make it are the following: The Wolves ( KG's supporting cast is mediocre) the Clips (Shaun Livingston's injury will leave a mark), the Warriors (Next Year boys)

Denver & NO/KC.
The injury to Livingston is a killer, and they just lack the killer-instinct that the team had a year ago.
Not that it matters... 1/2 slots in the West belong to Dallas & Phoenix, and these two teams are on a mission. I cannot see NO/KC taking a game off NO/KC, and Phoenix have been amazing on the road as well. Look for Denver to go down in flames, winning just the one game... maybe.

Either way, those teams will be going against the 2 top teams, Maves and Suns. They wont make it passed the sweep! But to give an answer, who ever is 7th and 8th now!

Denver and NOKC!!
CP3 and Byron Scott deserves to be in the playoffs and KG deserves to get out of Minnesota so missing the playoffs again would be the best reason.

I think the Nuggets might get one of these seeds. Though the way they have been playing maybe not.
