There are many examples of dreams that seemed to predict future events. Some may have been due to coincidence, faulty memory, or an unconscious tying together of known information. A few laboratory studies have been conducted of predictive dreams, as well as clairvoyant and telepathic dreams, but the results were varied, as these kinds of dreams are difficult to study in a laboratory setting.

I am going to type in my own thoughts on this subject.
Dreams are a part of our subconscience. Our thoughts become more intense as we sleep. Sometimes when we dream, we conjure up images of places or people that are familiar and unfamiliar to us. We also dream of going up or down stairs, experience death or near death situations, or flying in the sky so high next to high rise buildings that if we become afraid, then we'd suddenly fall. I also dreamt of explosions of other buildings after the WTC incident. It was scary.
Here's my experience: I was at O'Connor hospital recovering from a dog bite. I spent three nights on the 3rd floor, which was the Oncology section. At around 1 am in the morning in mid-August 20, 2005, I dreamt that I was in a house and strong winds were blowing me away. I was holding on to a door frame for dear life and outside there were palm trees blowing everywhere. A week later, Hurricane Katrina happened.
In early March of 2004, I dreamt that I saw people looking at the ocean and a big wave hitting them. In December 2004, the Tsunami in the South Pacific destroyed lives.
I dreamt of hidden nuclear silos next to San Jose Airport. I happened to drive in that direction of Trimble and De La Cruz and saw one located half a mile away from the airport runway.
So in answering your question? Yes, dreams do become a reality. And no, I am not making this up. If I were, I wouldn't go through such lengths in typing my experiences.

Yes, i think dreams become reality. When i was in middle school, i had so many......and i mean, so meany dremas that i was going to have 2 kids. And well, i did. LOL It might sound stupid, but to me, i believe in it. And i also have dreams that i can not forget, and when i go into work, its like, i just had that dream last night. Its weird to me.But i do think there is a possibility.

Of course it's possible, but it's not a premonition. It's just coincidence. What you're probably experiencing is Deja Vu, which is a brief chemical imbalance in your brain that triggers a weird, surreal sensation that you've been in the exact situation before.
