Alligator. I had it at a Cajun place. It was delicious. It tasted like a slightly tougher fried pork chop. I'd would definitely have it again!

When I was in Russia my host family went hunting and got a badger. That was our dinner that night. Badger, being a carniverous rodent, isn't the best eating.
What made it worse was that my host family waited a bit too long to take it out of the skin. I remember my host brother showing me the skin. When he took it out of the bag, it instantly reeked the whole house up. Well, the food tasted exactly like that skin. That's one dining experience I won't ever forget . . .
and we had it for the next three days, too . . .
I was really happy when I went back home to good ol' America.

Chicken feet ..and a tiny little quail(I felt so sorry for that little , little bird...it looked like a miniature turkey! I don't want to eat quail anymore...I would rather preserve them! They deserve to live...!!! )Oh,and the chicken feet....UGH! Too many bones!
I have also tried Venison...I didn't like the taste...but, maybe it wasn't cooked with the right herbs and such...it made me sick....also bitter melon..(ewww disgusting!) and castor oil./or perhaps it was really cod liver oil...either way, major YUK!!!..like rubber!),and also, I think turtle, froglegs...and rabbit....I would however love to try rattlesnake, though! LOL!

Well, I've never eaten anything as exotic as badger or cobra!
I ate rattlesnake once in Texas when I was a kid, tasted like chicken [seemingly, a lot of stuff tastes like chicken].
Some exceptions I've tasted
Snails - they taste like firmer, earthier, mushrooms.
Rabbit- tastes like dark turkey meat but more tender.
Buffalo- tastes like well aged beef
Sushi - not a fan, it is cold, and slimy and tastes like raw fish. The wasabi however, ROCKS!

We went to a BBQ at a neighbors house whose friends were all avid hunters. I tried bear and elk. The bear was really tough.

I tried the octopus at the Chinese buffet my husband and I go to. He said I wouldn't do it, so naturally I had to prove him wrong. It was very chewy and kinda salty, not something I'd want to eat again.

Human pubic hair!!! No kidding!!! My maid put some into my coffee and I almost swallow it. These bloody Indonesian maids thinks that by putting their pubic hair into food, their employer will be "nicer and obey them". Yeah, she got a hell of a tongue lashing and a sack from me instantly.
