Filipinos are food lovers to be exact.
It means, Filipinos eat big! 3-5 times a day, full meal breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks, heavy dinner, & even midnight snacks! Not to mention the parties, 'fiesta'!
And Filipinos are great cook too.
Just think about the foods that Filipino love... 'lechon baboy' or (roast pig), lechon kawali, & crispy pata. (except the muslims of course)
What can you say about that?

I'm not Pilipino but I'm a big time food lover. However, everytime I've been to the Philippines I usually end up eating all the time too. I usually end up eating 4 meals a day and drinking about 4-6 Red Horse beers a day when I'm there.
My favorites are caldereta and kari-kari.

Yes and it's mostly floating in oil and excep[t for tamarind stuff, it's mostly fried. The only thing I can't stand is the smell of dried fish and pusit frying. BUT ~~~~ I really do love the Filipino food, even the oddball kind (2 days ago went to a fiesta and got pata carabao and sisig aso).
Oh yes... another nonoes are balut and field rat. Really - the food is 99% great! especially krispy lechon baboy and lechon manok.

filipinos are not that big time food lovers really. the reason for this "too much eating" is that they had actually nothing else to do after an eight-hour loadwork except to eat. they prefer to relax after a day's work--their day's work however more or less spans the "eight hour"--in other countries, it will be 12 or even 16 hours. thus, less time to eat. but i agree that filipinos are really good cooks.very hospitable and friendly people.visit the Philippines!
