I have a 1987 Caddilac Cimmaron with very low mile I just bought & the visors attached to the headliner will not stay they keep flapping down when I drive in my face both of them do this but there is a wire in them because the mirrors used to light up in them now they don't work, I want to remove the visors but am scared if I cut those wires it may short something out or catch fire (cars old). I tried to velcro them up but it just came down & tore some of the headliner material. I can't afford to pay someone right now to redo them & headliner
What can I do to either remove them or keep them up a cheap way that works?

Yeah, you can cut the wire.Leave it about 3" long & cap it with a wire nut or just wrap'er with elec. tape. Then push it back into the headliner.
