My goldies used to do that all the time. I started worrying about how much the pleco was getting to eat as the goldies ate them like crazy. I used to drop one into the plecs cave/hiding spot where the goldies couldnt reach it.

Absolutely! Goldfish should have some greens in their diet, so there's no problem for them to eat it. However, it can be a problem for your pleco. Plecos are nocturnal, so you should only put food for them into the tank right before (or after) you turn the lights out. If your goldfish eat the pellets before the pleco has the chance, he may not get enough food. Starvation is the top killer of plecos - because most owners feed them too early!

Algae eaters consume algae and consequently they might not want something different than the algae they convey jointly by potential of themselves. try feeding some frozen bloodworms; they are very tasty and beautiful. If his abdomen is caved then you definately comprehend he isn't ingesting yet whilst he has a flat abdomen then he's high-quality, for now attempt to feed some fairly tasty ingredients so as that he a minimum of eats something. Feed you goldfish first and then place the Pleco nutrition down next to him and with a bit of luck he would be companies to consume it until now they do. good success!

Algae disks can be part of a goldfish's regular diet. You shouldn't have sucker fish in with golds because the goldfish might get injured or eaten.

Veggies, and fruits, are an important and necessary part of a goldfish's diet. Algae is fine for them, but you should be feeding fresh foods such as dark green lettuces (not iceberg) and spinach, thawed frozen peas or fresh boiled peas with the skins removed, chopped boiled eggs, cucumber, zucchini, broccoli flowers, boiled cauliflower, fruits such as oranges, skinned grapes, kiwi fruit, melons, bananas, strawberries, etc. None of these foods should be seasoned in any way. Take out anything that they don't show interest in or don't eat all of it. They love these things and, sometimes, have great fun playing with them as well!

Sure, it's good for them. But the plecostomus isn't--they have been known to suck on the goldfish, producing nasty sores, and eventually, death. Get an algae scraper sponge at the pet store instead, and use flourescent lighting instead of incandescent, and avoid too much sunlight.

If they didn't like it they wouldn't eat it. And just a hint, after a few weeks your pleco will discover the flakes on the surface, and then start growing like crazy.

Yes that's OK. Sometimes fish will pick at it and not really eat it. If a fish starts eating stuff they normally wouldn't eat, that can also mean they're really hungry. But don't worry it wont hurt them.
