There was a robot/spaceship thing that came from outer space on Halloween but everybody mistook it for a kid in a costume, I think they put a sheet over it to make it a ghost. Does anybody remember the title?

Yes and there was a few others ones and on the front cover there was all these kids sitting around a fire place. I do remember that.

I don't remember a book like that, but I remember the movie vaugley... I wish I could think of even one person in it so I could look it up... a movie from the eighties that went exactly like that.
