I am very fair skinned but I burn easily, but exposed areas tan without a burn so the areas that don't see sunshine as often, should I wear sunscreen or suntan lotion to avoid a "lobster burn?"

There are amplifier lotions that I would suggest because they make you a golden color. But to not get burnt like a lobster, stay in for very short bouts!!!!! Be careful, and go SLOW and do a few sessions to get tan, not one long one!

If you are just started out on tanning, you always want to get some kind of lotion to use until you recieve your base. I always like to try a few samples before I actually purchase a bottle, really the key to not getting a "lobster burn" (which tanning beds have given me plenty, believe me) is to really just take it slow until your skin is ready to go for the whole "20" minutes per say, start off with 8 then 10, then 12 and so on, dont wear just straight sunscreen , that would defeat the purpose of tanning- ask the girls or whoever work there believe me they are all going to tell you what will help the most. If you want some examples from me I can definitely give you some recomendations.
Good Luck!
P.S. Mystic Tan is awesome too, I always do Mystic and tanning at the same time so even if I do get burned then I can kinda blend it with my mystic... just suggestions.

whenever you tan either with sun or lights you do need to put some type of suntan lotion on your skin for some protection. If you burn easily don't stay in the tanning bed for more than maybe 3 to 5 minutes at a time so you can figure out how long you can go without burning.

Yes! If you want to get a good tan and less of a burn you will want to be going in for only 5 or so minutes and each time you go gradually increase how long you tan for. The best tanning skin is skin that is moisturized and exfoliated! Be sure and get a basic tanning lotion (you can get them at the tanning salon) Best way to find your favorite kind is to buy a sample pack each time.. also that makes it easy to not have to remember anything before you go. Just remember start off with a short amount of time and gradually increase..and always moisturize after.

i think its hot when guys go tanning. it always makes them look healthier and hott. the best thing to do is to use a good amount of sunscreen on your lower back and face and a little less everywhere else. Your skin will eventually start to become accustom to the rays. I work at a tanning salon I should know.

Don't wear sunscreen because it ruins the beds. Just bring a towel with you so you can cover and uncover those areas as needed
