smjohnson is right. If it is a 5.4L V8 you mean, it takes 6.5 litres, which is about 7 quarts with oil filter change.

The best way to tell instead of just giving you a number is:
Once all oil is drained and the oil plug bolt is retorqued on properly, pour as much oil as you can into the filter (if any amount is possible) then place a film of oil on the filter gasket and screw on the filter. Add the remainder of that quart plus an additional 4 quarts. Pull the coil wire from the distributor (if equipped) or the primary ignition fuse (whichever applies).
Crank the engine for 15 seconds and then check the oil level. It may show a quart low. add as needed.
NOTE: This is a heavy duty van so it may be equipped with an external engine oil cooler and may take more oil than said above.
Never just throw oil in an engine of a certain amount. Always check the oil level by the dipstick before running the engine, even if you know exactly how much it takes and you have changed your oil a zillion times.

well if ya don't know go to the factory manual, but more then likely it's about 5 to 5 1/2 quarts of oil but when you change your oil change your oil filter too and add oil to the oil filter when you put it on there...

examine your proprietors guide, it's going to inform you for certain, yet you'd be installation a minimum of 5 quarts. more recent vehicles now require 5 qts over 4 qts for better lubrication and cooling. in case you may't discover the proprietors guide, contact your community aspects shop or the dealership and they're going to inform you as to the proper volume of oil required and the variety needed
