All illnesses can be cured through meditation. The force of our mind is tremendous. We believe what our mind tells us to.But faith also plays an important role. Its purely psychological. The process of healing through meditation is not well understood but acknowledged even by medical fraternity.

I'm not sure I'd use the word "cure", but meditation can absolutely produce major positive changes. I have personal experience with meditation for pain control. For many years I suffered unrelenting pain that seriously limited my life. I had taken just about every pain medication there was, and the drug companies kept coming up with new ones that never seemed too much better than the old ones. I'd had physical therapy, too, and hydrotherapy, which helped, but only a little. Then I began to practice a meditation designed and led by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He founded a center for people with chronic pain, and has worked with people with a variety of problems. Learning mindfulness meditation is a gradual process, and I can't say it was easy, but by just doing it over and over and over again I got to a place where I can separate myself from the pain. The pain will always be there, but I can meditate much more easily now, almost any time, and experience the pain in a way that doesn't bother me very much or interfere with everything in my life. It's an amazing thing, and it has made awesome changes in my life. I think meditation can be effective for other conditions, too, and that in the future it will be used more and more in health care.

Yes, however you need to know which will and which will not.

Meditaion is better at prevention. This is because 80% of all illness is stress based.
