yes you would have to add up all your grades and then divide them by the total number of classes (ur in HS rt, b/c its different for college). If you are this is how you do it:
These are the value for grades (unless ur taking AP/Honors classes if u are let me know so I can revise this)

A-4 pts
B-3 pts
C- 2-pts
D-1 pts
F- 0 pts

OK, now add up all your points for all your grades and divide them by your total number of classes

Example: say you have 3 A's and 2 B's

so it 4 points for every A: 4*3= 12 and 3 points for every B: 3*2=6

you have 18 points (12+6)
now divide that by the number of classses ( grades in this case): 5 classes ( 3 classes in which you got A's and 2 classes in which you got B's)

so it's 18/5 =3.6 gpa

so if you want to find out ur GPA just do it like this.
Just to let you know, even if she is being a punk, all you have to do is go to her (or any other counsler) and ask for an unofficial transcript and they will print one out for you on the spot. Easy as pie.

Hope this helps good luck

PS: A B+ never equals a 3.5, the grading scale that the person below gave you is wrong.

You can calculate your GPA:
A+ 90% - 100% 4.0
A 80% - 89% 4.0
B+ 75% - 79% 3.5
B 70% - 74% 3.0
C+ 65% - 69% 2.5
C 60% - 64% 2.0
D 55% - 59% 1.0
F 0% - 54% 0

Simply add your GPA for each course and then divide by the number of courses.

Ex: if you get A in English, B in Chemistry, and C in Geography. Your GPA will be (4.0+3.0+2.0)/3
