I have bought a new all in one fax machine and I don't have a fax number.. the phone company said that if I wanted I could use my house number... so I tryed to send the fax and it said connection failed.. please someone help..

All the lines are working...
it saids to enter number so i put the number they gave me and then it saids to load what I'm sending so i do then it starts going beep beep beep. and about 3 Min's later it saids connection failed

You have to plug it into the phone line, then it may need some configuring. Read the instruction book that came with it.

first you have to get it connect to your phone line, check if you have a dial tone. if not, there is a problem with your fax machine.
Make sure you have the correct number. dial it, some fax machine are manual. you have to press the start button after a beep sound comes on.
