I've been using pro-activ for about 3 years-I've seen little change in my face. I still break out so I want to stop using proactiv. Any good acne products you use that work? I was thinking to use something like Neutrogena... anyone using that?

I did try Proactive and did nothing but just keep my bumpy face equally bumpy before and after. So now I'm using the Neutrogena scrubbing cleanser than can be use cold/hot , cold meaning you wash your face quickly or hot you leave it for 5 minutes in your face and then wash it as a refining mask. I also have the Neutrogena that helps to fight break out in 8 hours. I'm not gonna say my face is 100% spotless and clean but it is much better, it keep me more under control and the breakouts are minimum. If you have been using proactive for 3 years and you didn't see much change I'm gonna suggest you try something else, proactive is expensive and you can get more results for something inexpensive.

Also check one of the answers from this guys Rhino, he talked about washing face alternating water/cold water, soap and alcohol and loots of people talk fabulous results.

Good luck!

I used ProActiv, Acne Defense, and every salicylic acid treatment to ever exist. My newest regimen is Neutrogena Clear Pore Acne Cleanser/Mask. It's a lower grade of benzoyl peroxide (3.5%) so I typically leave it on for 5 minutes to get a good deep cleansing without the drying affects of benzoyl peroxide. I follow with Mario Badescu's special cucumber lotion (http://mariobadescu.com/productDetail.asp?ProductID=26&CatId=2) and complete my routine with Clearasil Ultra Acne Vanishing Cream. This stuff is what keeps me clear. It's got gycolic acid so it's continuously smoothing out the skin so you can skip that whole drying side affect that you'd usually get from using a benzoyl peroxide based product. If I do get a pimple (let's face it...they're inevitable!) the Clearasil stuff prevents it from getting to the painful, beat red stage. And you DO see results within 3 days. Maybe not completely clear, but definate improvement. Best of luck!

Neutrogena acne foam cleanser is really good. Proactiv didn't work for me either and my girlfriends. For some reason it did work for a lot of BoYs I know.

I would suggest seeing a dermatologist. They can help you decide what products would work best for your skin. If your acne is bad enough, Accuve is an option. I've heard that works really good for a lot of people...

Zeno the acne clearing device.. its awesome!! and it truly DOES work!! I've never tried anything better. Yes its expensive, but for 90 uses (basically 90 GONE zits) its WELL WORTH it! Plus you can buy replacement cartridges.. it truly rocks!

i know somebody who already tried pro-active and neutrogena and none of them worked. i advise you to go to a dermatologist to know what's really good for your skin type.
