I think it is child abuse!!!!!!!! That mother should be shot. They showed you on ET, all the crap that mother feeds her.

This makes me sick. The child's parents should be charged with neglect. I live about an hour away from the child's home and know that there are children's hosipital's in the area that could accomodate the child's medical needs. Also, Tennessee has universal healthcare so if you can not afford coverage child or adult you can apply for Cover Tennessee a program designed for low income families who can not afford traditional healthcare coverage or do not qualify for Medicaid. Rates are based on a sliding scale. There is no excuse for her not to have medical care.

This is heartbreaking. And the answer is yes, as the parents are enabling these children by giving them too much to eat. They need help, and if it takes removing them from the home to save their lives, then it should be done. Maybe this is something or another form of Munchausen by proxy when the mother poisons their child to get sympathy and attention. The authorities should have become involved when she was 5 years old and already morbidly obese.

I think it's sad and I feel sorry for the girl and her family. I know people say it's child abuse, I am not really sure what to think, all I know it's very sad to see a child that heavy.

the parents need to be jailed over this. This little girl will be dead by eight and it's not her fault. As a parent I teach my kid's what to eat and what no to eat. It is my duty as a parent to look out for thier well being. No doing this is criminal. Allowing a child to reach 400lbs is criminal and should be treated as such. Take the girl from the parents and teach the girl how to save her life.

Well, I used to call this abuse, but sometimes people are born with eating dissorders and they are so hungry I mean really hungry all the time, and as a parent you know what you are suppose to do, but it is not as easy as you think.

Don't get me wrong, I do not condone what the parents are doing, but I do know that they probably did not set down before their child was born and say well, lets see just how fat we can make our child so that she can make it on tv. The best we can do is support these parents that have overweight children like this. Being mean to them and bashing them as parents does not accomplish anything for the child.

I am upset because the parents allowed this to happen. I they really cared about her they would have gotten her help sooner is stead of letting her get to 400. They should have looked for help when she was 200.

its unbelievable because she is only 7 and so massive. i think that this is definitely child abuse and something to do with her mom feeding her and feeding her. she can't walk and only think about food but her mom should say no that's enough food.
