The war in Iraq has turned world opinion againts us. The indictments againts CIA officers in Germany and Italy. Iran is laughin in our face and taunting us. And last but not least we have Chavez in our own backyard in Venezuela talking CHIT. It just seems to me that way.

No we haven't lost it...but we are trying to appease all of our UN buddies by not becoming aggressors. Were taking one for the world "team" ... Imagine this....
At 12 midnight we launch a nuclear assault on Iran...who will fire back? Do you think the chinese have enough food to take a nuclear onslaught....the russians don't know where 3/4 of there arsenal is....At the end of the day Nukes talk and guns walk. What we need are new technologies that put us at an even greater advantage against insurgent style wars like in Iraq. We can't nuke em'all. But....if we keep indebting ourselves in trade with the rest of the world we will lose our foothold on what america thrives on....the financial grip we have over third world countries in loans and debts to our banks and government. We still have power...but power not yielded is useless power.

It is taking a while to fully manifest , but the fact that America is loosing it's place is real and is only made more visble by the issue in Iraq.

The outside world has often seen the west [AMERICA] as an arrogant bully.In this ligth they see America as a meddler who only strives on self centered motives.

Before the fall of the USSR there was a perceived balance of opinions and the world's general distribution of wealth was primarily localised to a few places.
Now , the issue is different, worlds have opened up, western style education has thrived well and to a large extent people can now voice their grieviances in one way or another.

Secondly, since the perception of worth attached to an entity depends on how that entity is seen to be relevant in micro and macro real life situations, America which was once the world's choice ally [ economically ,politically etc] now have a host of others to contend with.
From my personal observations, an entry visa and other readily needed minor asisstances are much more difficult to acquire from the US.So, the world looks to China, the EU states especially the UK as equal alternatives for things like international financing.
Financing has also gotten a new haven in the UAE [DUBAI], and since this is the bedrock of personal and individual developments and actualisation, interest and good will towards a possibly "irrelevant" bully is grossly minimised.
Finally, it is worth note that America whether accepted or not is very relevant in today's world and must be given that honour. Yet her methods of implementing that need has been often without consideration in terms of local jurisprudential psychology and socio-ideology.
