I'm looking for a next novel to read, and I'd appreciate it if you'll recommend me some.

If it will help, these are a few books that I liked.

The Kite Runner
Chinese Cinderella
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Joy Luck Club
Princess Diaries series
Everlasting by Carol Johnson

I love "The Joy Luck Club"! It's one of my favourite books. I'd also recomend some of Amy Tan's other books, especially "The Hundred Secret Senses."

Here are some other good books:
The God of Small Things -- Arundahti Roy
On Beauty -- Zadie Smith
The Constant Gardner -- James le Carre
How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents -- Julia Alverez
The House of the Spirits -- Isabel Allende
Beloved -- Toni Morrison
The Bell Jar -- Sylvia Plath
A Grain of Wheat -- Ngugi
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings -- Maya Angelou

Happy reading!! :)

Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections is quite good. Also, the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay is good, by Michael Chabon.

I'm actually not a big reader, but when I do read a book I like, I try to find another one by the same author and go to amazon.com or the library online and see if it sounds good.

I'm going to make this simple by recommending just one book for now:
"The Time Travelers Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger
If you haven't already read it, it is fantastic! It is very original and a very tender love story.
