ok so whats wrong with me? i'm hardly ever bored, but the past week or so, i've found every moment of the majority of the day to be boring, pointless, and meaningless. TV just isn't amusing me, i've surfed the net to my heart's content, i've read all the books i own, it's night time so i can't go outside (for exercising or otherwise), there are no puzzles here, i don't have a car so i can't drive anywhere, i have a bf but he works 12-hour workdays so he can't really help me out. any ideas why i've felt so bored lately and how to cure it? i think it's literally beginning to drive me a little insance.

P.S. ok, any answer why i've felt bored only lately yet? and i tend to be a multi-tasker so doing just one thing, unless it requires all my attention or concentration, i'll need something else to do also. like if i listen to music, i gotta have something else to do. if i'm watching tv, i wanna be working on something with my hands, but i dont know what (nor do i think i have the materials for most activities)

Bored are you? Well not to be too egotistical you could look at some of my answers to some of the other posters I've given. oops..
This is just a hunch but I would volunteer my time for something or someone.
Another is you have free time think about the direction of your life. You have no outside intrusions or excuses not to. Is there something else in the back of your mind you would like to do if you are not there? Do you think you want to pursue that? Do you think your bf will want you to do that? Do you think you need to drop your bf if you want to do that?
I always gave my mind something to do. Write poetry or songs. I never published them but I got em. One day I might who knows?
I was in AMWAY a while ago now and one of my acquaintances asked me at that time "How committed is "Uncle Remus 53" to "Uncle Remus 53"?
So I guess it's this personal type issues you do have time to do. Since you are a multi-tasker you can do this while you are trying to find some meaningful show on television. Insanity is not an option.

My son complains of boredom quite often, but I notice it is mostly when he should be doing something else... like say, cleaning his room.
We live in such an overly stimulated world today, it's no wonder we are often disappointed by what we feel are "boring" and "mundane" things that have to get done.
Personally, I learned from a friend a while back that if you try to finish all of your "have to do" things as quickly as possible, you'll have more time to get to the things that you "want to do". If you want to do things, they'll most likely not be "boring" to you.
Find a hobby that is a little challenging to stimulate your mind. There is so much out there that you can learn about. You have access to the web so go out an learn something. Cooking, knitting, rocket science... anything that interests you. The more hands on, the less likely you'll be bored.
Go learn something. /hugs!

It sounds like you have lost passion. Find something that you can be passionate about. A new hobby or something. The only cure for boredom is to fill your time with something that you enjoy. Take a course through corispondance that you can do from home! Pick a course that you are interested in learning about. Play videogames. Have a marathon of your favorite films. Knit. Make a house out of pop cans.
The world is yours! Find something that will bring passion to your life that you enjoy doing.

Get a second boyfriend or buy some new books.
Orrrr, try writing your own story. Either a long one or a short one. Make it a crazy work of fiction. Something you have to do research on. Something you aren't really familiar with so it keeps you learning new things.

Go work as well. You'll make new friends you can go out with when bored, learn new skills, gain new experiences AND even earn money- all for filling up your boredom.;p
