Trying to enforce its Christian beliefs on the entire world...even those who aren't Christians. Sorry if I sound stupid...I'm kind of new to the whole politics thing. So is this right? If it is, then today isn't much different than the middle ages when the Theocracies of Europe did the same thing...?

Hey--get in the mix down and dirty---there should be no shame in your game.

We may have no declared mission to implant Christian beliefs wherever we go, but taking aim on Countries that aren't exclusively Christian doesn't seem to draw much outrage from the Christian right. In fact--they sort of see the Middle East conflicts as the Biblical oncoming of the Apocalypse--where Jesus saves them and whisks them off to the promised land.

I'm thinking that were witnessing King George's version of the Imperialistic undertakings of the English and the French where they invaded foreign countries for the exclusive purpose of Colonization and stealing Natural resources. 14 Military bases, a self sustaining Embassy the size of the Vatican and the 30 year deals with Big Oil entities make it hard to see it any other way.

In reading Craig's post I don't think their's a grain of salt big enough to quantify that response--yikes!!

This is the first time I have heard anyone ask if religion is the cause of the War in Iraq. I find it hard to believe that the US would war with another nation to enforce Christianity. Woulnd't it be more sensible, if that were the cause, to start at home? The US is made up of a medley of religions. I don't believe the United States would be so (for lack of a better word) stupid as to try to make something as futile as the one-religion-fits-all-agenda work.

Actually the United States isn't at war with Islamic fundamentalists. The United States is at war with the people who created the EU, and the EU is using Islamic fundamentalists to do the brunt of the dying for them at this stage of the conflict. In truth Islamic fundamentalism isn't a threat to our society or country, if it was Farrakhan and his movement would be in a Cuban jail sell.

The main thrust of the European attack on American is economic. They bought large segments of our Industrial base, in an effort to destroy the United States from within. Their main weapon is money, not military. They took Europe with cash, and nobody even noticed the AU, the African Union suddenly popped up. It will dawn on most Americans, when the NAU is introduced. The North American Union coupled with the EU and AU might just be enough to deal with China and Asia, but know this.

The people behind it are serious, the want to go global, and they are taking us with them whether we want to go or not. Religion is just another diversionary tool they use to fragment the population of the group of people they are attacking. Consider Britain playing the Catholics off against the Protestants in Ireland and apply the concept to the Globe. It is how they operate whether it be Jews vs Arabs or Blacks vs Whites, Latinos vs Asians, they thrive on social unrest and violence.

I don't think the United States can defeat it's opponent in this war until the American public know who the real enemy is.

Perhaps since you are new to the "whole politics thing" you should check out your facts with respectable sources first. This is not a war about about religion or Christian beliefs. Other countries fight holy wars but we do not.

This is a good place to learn but check your facts first.

The same? Kind of like being shot by a BB gun is the same as a 50 caliber armor piercing round? When the "Christians" start burning, hanging, and torturing Muslims who don't convert, then it will be the same. I suppose you think GIT-MO is similar to Auschwitz. There are a dozen reasons which all played a part in the war. As for religious imperialism, Saddam made himself vulnerable when he invaded Kuwait.

Gads, Hell son, it's just like in the Movie, Good Morning Vietnam, when the CO says to Robin Williams, - You don't know if you've been shot, snake-bit, or **cked.- These are the tanks of Godless Capitalism. Ain't no Christian about it. It's power politics pure and simple. If you wanna kick a** and take names, you got to practice. We practice live fire, in an oil patch. So What?

This war has nothing to do with anything but making money. Tons of it. So far almost a half a trillion dollars. It's not Christianity, Democracy, Terrorism, or anything else man its cold hard cash. It is a flim flam, and America is the mark.

it fairly is troublesome to assert the conflict of 1812 as a loss or win for all of us. the status quo became maintained by potential of the tip. no person fairly misplaced or won something. Granted, we did get our asses exceeded to us by potential of the British for terribly lots of the conflict, however we did win some victories, alongside with New Orleans (Albeit that occurred after the conflict had formally ended). it could additionally be argued that we misplaced the Russian Civil conflict, in view that we've been technically on the component of the dropping White Russians and surely despatched troops to combat in Russia. it fairly is slightly a stretch, however.

Not necessarily 'Christian' beliefs. Rather they want to push the ideals of Western Civilization on the rest of the world. While Western Civ has been very influenced by Judeo-Christian ideals, it is not the same as 'Christianity'

Hope this helps

it's about securing a strategic resource oil. who controls it controls the world China is growing fast so is India but they need energy. The US is the largest consumer of energy, to let China cut deals in the Middle East would raise prices due to greater competition, US corporations and transportation our whole nation is built on the idea of cheap gas. In order to maintain US economic supremacy we must deny access to China and India that way they will have to buy from us, at least US corporations
that gives US corporate interests control over the prices and the supply available to our future competition.
