like everytime i meet new people, i say stupid things, i'm very slow and when people ask me a question i respond before i actually 'hear them out'. and, when i'm with my own group of friends im like an eaves dropper (sorta), i barely talk. anything i can do? to break the ice? or w/e???

Try keeping up with current events so that way you will have something to talk about that's interesting to other people. Start practicing just listening.Try doing it with your actual friends now and the next time you meet some new people you should be better at responding to people's questions.

It's all about practice and confidence. If you dwell upon past blunders, you'll never move forward. Just keep meeting people and practicing, and you'll get better in no time. Good luck!

it sounds like you are trying to hard to make peoplel like you. stop trying so hard, and just be yourself, and i guarantee that you will make more friends. good luck.
