I've always used cocoa butter, and a few years ago I found out it reduces stretch marks and scars. I have a few and they are fading. But has anyone here personally got rid of stretch marks by using cocoa butter?

just curious^^

i had some stretch marks from losing weight. I used the cocoa butter. It did help alot, but it did not totally take them away. I don't think there is alot you can do to make them disappear.

I think people have an erronous conception about cocoa butter. Its a good mosturizer, but it wont so much help you after the fact. It's good for pregnant women to use it BEFORE their belly grows, to keep the skin moist so that once they've given birth, the skin looks better after. It's more a preventative measure I think. It's not a fading cream though. There are creams made for stretch marks.
Hope this helps.

I have had 2 pregnancies...my first was twins @ 20 years old. I started the stretch marks on the tummy around my 7th month, yuck! I am now a decade + older in mid 30's and they are still there. I tried the cocoa butter, sit ups, etc. If they are bad enough...you're stuck with them! The answer is TUMMY TUCK!

I don't know if it can get rid of them completely, but it can prevent them. When I was pregnant I used cocoa butter and other moisturizers religiously and had not one stretch mark.

I did with my first pregnancy-- keeping your skin lubricated actually helped to prevent them also.........the stuff is a miracle drug and it's so cheap-

ps it's also good for chapped skin like on your hands in the winter
