Why do Christians lash out at gay people when they disagree with their life style?
That is the real question. Or should it be why do people lash out when they feel threatened? It is Human nature to protect your family and thoes you love. No matter how irrational it seems.

When a person has been labelled and attacked repeatedly for the expressed reason that he or she is of a different sexual orientation, that person begins to expect attack and anticipate it, even when an attack is not occurring. This is the same principle that applies to some black persons who cry "racist" when a white person disagrees with them, even when there is no mention or implication of the race issue. It is a defensiveness born of repeated attacks, so that the attacked becomes the attacker and no good purpose is served but the perpetuation of anger and misunderstanding.

I know many Gay people who DON'T lash out at people who disagree with their lifestyle, however if you offend them and insult them and do not respect their beliefs on the subject then they will. Just like if you put down a Christian's beliefs they will lash out and defend them. In fact I know people who are Gay AND Christian.
Don't base everybody in one group on a few people.

Hi JR,
I don't think lash out is more the word than respect. All they want is the same rights as EVERYBODY ELSE!
It is their right as for every one else the right to walk down the street without be centred out. Is that so hard to understand.
Our we so stuck on our selves to think we have more rights then them. They pay same tax's as we do, fight wars, save life's...
For What? To be called down 24-07
And sit down because here is the shocker JR," Some are Christians too! Yup!
That's right they are the same as you, me and others around us.

I am gay and all I've heard christians say is "you're going to hell", well most of them call themselves christians so I call'em christians, now who's lashin out who? I have a christian friend who says she doesn't agree with me being gay but let me live in peace... you don't want to be called names, well stop calling others names first!!!!
I don't care if you disagree but eh there is a line you must never cross or I'll beat the hell out of you... that's my motto

I don't think they "lash" out! What a word to use and then put every gay person in one catergory. And, you put yourself in another weird catergory by saying that you are christian. There is definetly some suspect tendencies there. Maybe you are reading into something that you should be looking at in the mirror!
Good Day!

Try living your entire life being told you're insane and/or evil. Then try not "lashing out" at the people who tell you those things.

Because what usually follows their disagreement is condemnation or sometimes even violence(rarely). It all depends on the intent and body language of the person disagreeing.

because it is none of their business to judge gays or anyone else's lifestyles..
look in the mirror and judge yourself.. if you can truly say that you are perfect, then by all means, critisize others..
if not, then mind your own business and let god be the one to judge others.
