I found the perfect van, and its a great price, but it needs transmission repair, and I need to know how much that could cost, and if it needed a whole new transmission, how much would that cost? I need figures for the midwest, (where I am) and including Labor. The van is a 1998 Ford Windstar Ext Sport Van, milage is: 93,630, and since your probly wondering, its going for less than $1,500. I definatly need to do my research before purchase, because it has to last and safely transport children. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOU HELP!

give or take $1500.00 the van is up in age and costs as much to fix as its worth not to mention other repairs you might not know about. If I were looking at this van I would be thinking about why the trans is bad, did he beat on it?what else is tore up if he was beating on it?If it were me i would keep looking and pass this one up just because theres too much that could go wrong if the van was driven hard
