To build strength for swimming, my team does sets of running up and down the bleachers overlooking the pool. Do this for 5 minutes at a time 3 times a day for a week and you will see a big improvement. You must try very hard for these.

Other than that, is there a gym you can use around your home? A few sets of knee squats wouldn't hurt.

run up majorly steep hills.... alot! ... it helps build strength in ur legs. and if u get stronger than kicking the ball higher will kinda come naturally
